Extraordinary

RAAM is not for everybody. Extraordinary people are required. Team Badger Bikers, riders and crew. reached out and met the standard. Average age 59. the oldest of the group of racers, this team is comprised of strong personalities with unique backgrounds and stories leading up to and completing this Race. As a fellow rider, I applaud the efforts and character of my teammates and crew. This Race will be part of our lives forever. The synergy and bonding of this group of people during this intense experience has in itself been a moving and rewarding experience. To that end, I thank all of my fellow riders and crew. Of special thanks. I extend to Nancy Sellars, Jimi Sellars, and Tom Chopp for playing such important and meaningful roles in the life and times of Team Badger Bikers. The senseless tragedy of Nancy's loss occurring weeks following the Race will always be a part of our Team. But, the joy of Nancy as our teammate and friend will be forever paramount in our thoughts and feelings we uniquely share. These are extraordinary people who have given their lives,spirit, drive, and flair to our Team to the finish. They represent the goodness of our group of individuals, the positive, healthy, and worthy goals of the Race, and, most importantly, the extraordinary people involved in Make a Wish Foundation for whom we have committed our efforts to raise funds to support those of us less fortunate to enjoy a ray of sunshine in their lives.
