Team Badger Bikers

What sound does a Badger make when ready to get out of Dodge on bike? We decided: "Ruf, Ruf, Ruf." After months of preparation, training, fund raising and logistics, we are ready to roll. All of us are well, so that's a plus for openers. So far, only a few frictions amidst a lot of bonding. It;s 65 degrees in Oceanside and overcast. But we'll be in the high desert soon, where temps are in the 90s. I used to train there as a Marine artillery officer, so I know it gets really hot during the day and down into the 40s and 50s at night. We have clothes in our vans for all conditions. We'll have to play it by ear. The first leg is an eight-mile promenade out of town. Med and two other Badgers will be wearing our aero cheeseheads, courtesy of good friend Gunter Woog who is connected to the fomation business. He thinks he can sell them as a product. We are off at 2 p.m. I'm ready.

I know it was John, the most aged cheddarhead, who wrote this blog. Who else on the team was a Marine in the 60s?

The big question: how do 10 people sleep in a 6 person RV? John, you WILL be booted outside.

Good luck and ride safely.
